Dr. Marina Blumin founded Discovery Academy on one principle: improve the student’s knowledge and the marks follow. She spent 20 years at the University of Toronto and has taught mathematics for more than 40 years. Every teacher on our staff is selected by her. Every student’s progress is her concern.

Three method options to choose from. Tuition is charged per credit, not per term. Payment plans are available for families who need them — ask at consultation, and we’ll walk through what works for your situation.

Part-time students (currently attending another school full-time) may enroll in up to 2 credits per semester. Ideal for students who want advanced coursework, gap-filling, or university prep alongside their main program.

Yes. Discovery Academy is an accredited private school with authority to grant credits toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. MIDENT 884964.
How big are classes?
Group: 10–18 students. Semi-private: 2–7. Private: 1-on-1.

What if my student has an IEP?
IEP accommodations are fully supported. Small class sizes make real individualisation possible.
Can I take just one course?
Yes. One course or many — entirely up to you.
What’s the tuition?
Group: $1,100 per credit. Semi-private: $1,500–$1,800. Private: $1,800–$2,000 depending on hours. Payment plans available.
How do I know which format is right for my student?

Can I transfer a credit earned at DA to another school?
Yes. DA credits are standard OSSD credits, accepted by all Ontario schools and universities.
